Na época em que eu fui para o Hawaii, a capa do meu blog tinha uma frase de um livro do Donald Miller, que dizia assim "Todos têm de partir, todos têm de partir de casa e voltar, de modo que possam amá-la novamente por razões inteiramente novas". De fato, quando nós vamos para um lugar diferente (por bastante tempo), aprendemos a apreciar coisas que antes passavam desapercebidas ou ainda, coisas que a gente detestava!

Uma delas é o clima de Curitiba!
Quando eu estava nas Filipinas, eu escrevi um post sobre isso: Aprendendo a dar valor pro clima de Curitiba. Agora eu estou no Japão e geeeeeeeeeeeente, o clima daqui simplesmente não sabe ser 'ameno' ou 'agradável'.

Quando chegamos aqui, estava MUITO frio! Daqueles frios que sem aquecedor não rola! Tínhamos que ligar o ar-condicionado quente pra poder sair de debaixo das cobertas... e pra ir no banheiro, tínhamos que colocar todos os casacos. O aquecedor que eles usam aqui no Japão é à querosene, que deixa o quarto bem quentinho, mas é nocivo à saúde e perigoso por causa do fogo. Então chegou a primavera, e continuava FRIO! Eu lembro que no aniversário da minha mãe (20 de abril) eu estava usando duas calças! A questão é: o frio daqui dura para sempre! Tudo bem que as cerejeiras floresceram e foi lindo, mas o frio continuava e daí de repente começou a chover! Afinal, as plantas tinham que nascer de novo, né! E além das plantas, o mofo...
When we arrived here, it was REALLY cold! Without heating it's impossible to stand the cold. We had to turn on the heating to get out of bed and put on our clothes. They use a kerosene heater here in Japan and it makes the room really hot, but it's not good for your health and it is dangerous because of the fire. Then, the spring arrived and it was still COLD! I remember that at my mom's birthday (April 20th) I had to wear two pants! The thing is: the cold here lasts forever! Ok, the cherry trees bloomed and it was beautiful, but the cold stayed and then it started raining! Cause after all, the plants need to born again! And not only the plants... the mold too...

E entre chuva, ventinho pra lá (sempre usando um casaquinho), finalmente, em Julho, ele chegou! O verão! Mas eu já tinha sido avisada que o verão daqui é insuportável, de suar só de sair de casa e mais uma vez, impossível sem ar-condicionado. Mas sabe que nem foi tããão calor assim? Pra mim teve só uma semana de-morrer de calor... e logo acabou... e daí, de repente o clima ficou maluco... de 25C pra 15C, chuva, ventos fortes e a pior parte: tufões vindo do sul da Ásia...

Bom, eu não tinha a intenção de contar a história do clima do Japão desde que eu cheguei aqui, mas é que realmente, o clima de Curitiba, apesar das suas 4 estações em um dia (convenhamos, Curitiba sequer tem 4 estações) é bom demais! O frio não é tão frio, o calor não é tão calor. Ninguém precisa ficar ligando ar-condicionado durante metade do ano e ninguém precisa ficar doente porque lá fora tá muito quente e lá dentro tá muito frio. Curitiba não tem tufão, não tem terremoto, nada... é uma belezura! Obrigada Jesus, mais uma vez, pelo clima de Curitiba!
Well, I didn't mean to tell the whole story about the Japanese weather since I arrived, but really, Curitiba's weather, even with its 4 seasons in a day (well, actually we don't really even have 4 seasons) is super good! The cold is not so cold and the hot is not so hot! No one needs to turn on the ac during half of the year and we don't get sick because it's too cold outside and too hot inside (or the other way around). Curitiba doesn't have typhoon, earthquake... nothing... it's wonderful! Thank you Jesus, again, for Curitiba's weather!
