O Filho de Deus // Son of God

Hello guys, tonight I watched "Son of God" and I was super excited coming home! It is so good to see Jesus, even when it is not himself! haahha seriously, I could only think, oh, Jesus, look what you did because you love ME!

But what I really wanted to say is that I had a huge desire to stand up in the end of the movie, fill up my lungs with air and preach the gospel, but the room was very empty, and I was enjoying the final music that goes with the credits, oh, and of course, I'm too shy to do these crazy things... ;/

Então eu vou me expressar aqui!
So I will express myself here! The movie "Son of God", directed by Christopher Spencer is very good! It's very faithful to the Bible, even though some things are in the wrong order and A LOT is left out (after all, if they put all the deeds of Jesus, the movie would last an eternity!). But if I could change one thing in the movie, I'd add in the end a recap of Jesus saying John 3:16 >> For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

It's very worth watching, to remember and thank Jesus for all that he's done for us!
filho-de-deus-01

Ideas I had (and that I want to put into practice): fill a room with people, invite random people in the mall to watch the movie (and of course, pay for their tickets) and in the end of the movie, someone gets up, preaches the gospel, saves lives and afterwards we go consolidate them. 2- Put a huge screen at my church's parking lot and exhibit the movie for anyone who wants to watch!

If you already watched it, tell us how did you like it in the comments!

The story I will tell today is actually a fairytale :)

Once upon a time, many and many years ago, there were two little girls who loved to play and create crazy things. They were cousins and they attended the same church. Carol liked to wear green shirts and Erika liked strawberry clothes. They ran all over the area of the church, throwing paper airplanes, had fun playing "orange tag", but their favorite game was to invent stories.

One day, they decided that the teenagers of the church would be part of a big family, and of course, they were the daughters. But since this is a fairytale, let's tell you about the fairy godmother. The fairy godmother was Rafael (check out the F of Fairy in his T-shirt hahaha) and he did a good job making the lil girls very happy.

One day, the lil girls asked the fairy godmother to tell them a story. He started telling the story of the three little pigs. The little Seiti piggy built a house made out of straw, that was destroyed by the powerful blow of the bad wolf. The little Carol piggy then decided to build a house made of wood, but it was also destroyed by the bad wolf. Erika, who knew the story already, realizing that she was the last character remaining, got really happy when she guessed that her house would be made out of bricks, but our fairy godmother surprised us one more time. The little Erika piggy built a house made out of feathers, that was also destroyed by the bad wolf.

The Erika in this story is me and that's how I learned that sometimes life deceives us... hahaha

Dia 3 - Relacionamento com a sua família | Relationship with your family

Dia 3: Descreva o seu relacionamento com a sua família | Describe your relationship with your family

(sad I didn't find the picture I wanted! It's one of all of us jumping)

My relationship with my family is wonderful, even though we live so far away. Of course we all have our differences and sometimes I don't understand my parents' choices (and I keep on being stubborn), but I think that it there's a family that is pleasant to be part of, it's Eiki's family.

After I started dating Jesse, I learned to be more open and I also grow to the point that I could talk about anything with my parents. During the season I was far away from Jesse, planning my wedding, trying to figure out the future, my mom became my best friend, gave me lots of counseling and helped me in everything. Today I know that I can tell her anything, and that she will understand and give me the right advice. It's unto her that I run when things go wrong :P hahaha and seriously she tells me A LOT of things that I don't want to hear!

My dad is the emotional of the family, so talking to him usually includes a request "Come to Brazil" and now that I am coming and that my visa is expiring in March, the request is "Come live in Brasil". I love my daddy. When I was little, I didn't understand his choices, why prohibit this, why prohibit that? But today I see and stand in awe with the wisdom this man had in raising me! I thank God a lot for the father he have me, after all, the dad Eiki helped me to see the dad God with the right eyes.

O Seiti, ahhh, o Seiti! Ele é ele, não adianta! hahah Quando éramos crianças, ele me provocava e a gente brigava o tempo todo.
Seiti, ahhh, Seiti! He is he and that's all! When we were children, he used to tease me and we fought all the time. I hated when he called me "chuchuzinha" (something like 'little pumpkin'), then I'd call him cabagge hear and he would laugh and say that it was true! hahaha Now we are grown ups and the provocations are gone, and I have a huge love and a huge care for this boy! I am so proud to see how much he grew and matured this last year! I love to talk to him, because he tells me the trivial things about life in Brasil.

I love my family and I am very grateful to be born exactly in this home! No one could substitute my dad, my mom or my brother. I miss them a lot and I wish I could live closer.

Ps." By being part of this family, I also got an extra mom, tia Antônia! She took care of me my whole life and she spoiled me... oh she did! When I was 16, I wanted to go to a concert in São Paulo (my first trip by myself and first concert) and my dad didn't let me go. So I cried all of my tears to tia Antônia and she comforted me saying that my dad didn't understand I had grown up. In the end, he let me go, but the comfort tia Antonia gave me stayed in my heart forever. I miss you. I love you tia Antonia! Oh, tia Antonia is who gives me the reference of 'mother's food', because in fact I miss her food, not my mom's. Whoever tried knows, there's no yummier food than tia Antonia's. Oh December, come soon!

Dia 2 - 3 medos legítimos | 3 legitimate fears

Oi gente, tudo bem?
Hello guys, how are you? I had thought about the answer to this question since day 1, but I forgot/didn't have time to post it.

| Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and how they became fears

No, I don't hear God's voice clearly as if another person was talking to me, but my biggest fear is not knowing His will, not being able to hear what he wants to tell me, not being able to communicate with my best friend. I think this fear became clear to me recently, like 2 weeks ago! I was feeling really bad, desperate about my future, with no hope and my feelings were too loud to hear the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit. And seriously, I am a missionary. If I don't hear the voice of God guiding me in everything, I am lost! Hearing his voice is comfort, love, affection, peace, joy, it's everything! Knowing that God is really there, hearing me and speaking to me is the best part of being a Christian!

2- Perder o Jesse | Losing Jesse:
I know how much it hurts to be without Jesse and that's why this is my second biggest fear! He is my companionship, my best friend, my carer, my love, my partner for crime (but he's not that much into crime ahahah), my gift from God, my comfort, my provider, my protector. He is the person God put on my life to take care of me - spiritually, physically and emotionally. I sincerely pray that the Lord will take care of him, and even though I know that there's a mutual desire for God and Jesse to be together, I beg God to let us go to Heaven together. Jesse already told me that he feels that the Lord has a lot for him here on the earth, but I still pray that he won't die! hahaha

3- Passar necessidade | Not having enough:
I think this is my silliest fear, but it is still very sincere. My whole life I had everything I could wish for, and even when something was denied, I see that it was for my good. I never lacked clothing, food, affection, place to stay, and in fact, I had it all in abundance. Until the day I moved to one of the most expensive countries in the world with 1/3 of the needed support per month and had to learn to trust the Lord about our finances. And yes, he has sustained us and made miracles, because until now I don't understand how we can pay all the bills in due date. Despite all of that, I still have that lil fear that I will lack something.

What do you think about my fears? Are your fears similar? Do you have any question?

English Summer Camp

"Here we go, here we go, English Summer Camp is super fun"

Today I am gonna write about one of the best experiences I had here in Japan! English camp for kids!

The Japanese children are extremely cute, but they are also very well behaved and nice! We had lots of games, English classes, workshops and a lot of fun. Even though it was an English camp, the kids didn't know how to speak English, so we had to practice our Japanese, whether we wanted or not. And seriously, there's no better way to learn a language than having to speak with children. It was awesome.

Non-chan e Mi-chan
I was VERY blessed to have in my team Non-chan, the lil japanese girl who was super smart and knew how to speak English very well. She quickly became my friend and helped me in the communication with the other children.

The camp was not Christian, but there's something about surrendering, serving, taking care of the children that brought us such a joy, a new strength to serve Jesus in Japan. We came back home broken (and veeeeeery sore, think, running after kids is not easy!!), but happy, light.

Now we are anxiously waiting for November, when we will volunteer again for a new camp, this time is Sendai (where the earthquake from March 11 happened)
